July 27 2017 – WEDDING OF THE YEAR
SEAN & KRISTINA
JULY 26, 2017 and it was the night of the rehearsal dinner. The bride to be looked so beautiful I thought she had her wedding gown on. She seriously looked like a Princess.
Now keep in mind this was the wedding I was to officiate. Thank God the Bride was so “NOT” a Bridezilla. She really set the tone, she wasn’t nervous and or stressed out, so neither was I, well not really, I was just a “little” bit nervous.
The venue was gorgeous, the ceremony was short just the way the couple wanted it. Everything went off without a glich, including me. Even the weather behaved, it was an outdoor wedding and it looked as though it might rain, but not a drop. The only one a little nervous was the groom and that made everyone else feel relaxed and it made us all laugh.
I can get a little mushy at weddings, but watching Sean tear up as his bride started down the aisle, almost got me going, but then I quickly remembered I had a job to do, “officiate”, and that straightened me out, BIG time.
There was just the right amount of reverence, but everyone was happy and relaxed, and so happy for the couple, it was incredible.
The cocktail hour had so much delicious food, no one wanted to go inside for the dinner. However, when we did sit down to dinner, our appetizer was a Lobster tail done to perfection as the first course. Then a salad, then chateaubriand and chicken with potato and vegetables. Again the food was delicious and perfect, everyone’s dinner was hot and served timely.
The DJ was so good he had every single person (approx. 200 people) on the dance floor.
All I can say is these people sure know how to give a wedding.
I had never seen so many people so happy about one couple. EVERYONE was over the moon for this couple. They are so, so sweet. God Bless them both. The reception was then followed by an after party and then an after, after party!
And oh by the way, just as a side bar, officiating was one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done. I absolutely enjoyed it.
I could write forever about this wedding. Even though I was officiating it was truly one of the best weddings I have EVER attended. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING was perfect.
Because the couple wasn’t leaving on a honeymoon until the following week, the Bride’s parents had a Poolside BBQ the following day! WHAT A CELEBRATION
I need the month of August to just catch up with myself and the Blog, but I’ll soon see Route 95 again for Labor Day! Pack and unpack, pack and unpack, pack and unpack, story of my life. No complaints, beats chemo! (smile)
Needless to say we all had a ball.
