JUNE 23, 2017 – I went to a soccer game for my grandson Anthony. I got lost for 3 hours and missed most of the game. Okay this was not just any game, this was a championship game. What a handsome sweet young man he’s turning into. LOVE him to the Moon and Back. Two seconds of the game was worth the 3 hour drive. Just saying!!
JUNE 24, 2017 Family Reunion
I went to my cousin Barry’s and Kate’s reunion on Cape Cod. What a GREAT time, I had lots of fun, great to see everyone, haven’t seen some of my family in years. But the star of the day was the location. It’s a beautiful ocean front home owned by my cousin Barry and Kate Rose.
It was so good to see everyone. Some of my family didn’t even know I had been visited by TAZ. Others didn’t realize I had recuperated. The surprise for me was when I find out how many other people there had been dealing with their own experience with TAZ. It is utterly amazing how many people are dealing with this devil of a Monster. Young, old, you name it.
Don’t I look right at home at this gorgeous place?
By the way if you like the looks of the place, feel free to visit the web site. You can rent the space for weddings and parties and such. Or you can call the appropriate number to make arrangements to sign up for “Cooking with Kate”. Check it out, it’s an awesome experience, treat yourself or put it on your Daisy List and make it happen.

You’ll be so glad you did.
It’s July 2, 2017 and I’m back in New Jersey, without much time to regroup. My girlfriend Carol’s grandchildren usually come up from Florida to New Jersey and spend a few months during the summer with her. I always like to arrange a play date for them at my house.
I was under the gun to come up with something quick. Bright children don’t want to be entertained, they want to be occupied and these two little bunnies are bright beyond their years. I think that’s why I enjoy them so much.
I remembered my mother babysitting for my brother’s small children years ago. She would spread out a large old sheet or drop cloth on the floor and give them some small bird houses with paints and brushes and let them have a ball. So that was going to be my theme.
We had brushes, paint, bird houses, buckets, decals, rubber stamps, aprons, big plastic table cloths, gloves, you name it, we had everything. I set everything up on the patio and we had a ball. Carol sat on her perch and tried to supervise, however, Gavin did remind her that technically this was Miss Diane’s house and Miss Carol should let us do “OUR” thing. LOVE that child!
We had hot dogs, and other goodies and had a perfect day. As a matter of fact, Gavin did mention that it was one of the “BEST” days of his life, and I’m sure that it was until the next day when he visited someone else. I LOVE the little ones to have memories like that about me.
As I’m writing this post, I just got the news that Gavin and Leila have a new addition of a brother to their family. I can’t wait for our next play date.
“Time to pack up for another reunion, Route 95 here I come”.
