Ok, look, even before the BIG event, I was so sure I knew how I was going to begin and end this post. Certain things I already knew in advance of the Wedding. But I certainly didn’t image this. I have to warn you this post is long, I mean I tried to edit things out, but I wanted to make sure you got the full flavor of the day. So I apologize in advance, but this post is long.
Well, here it is in all of its Glory! Take your time, feast your eyes and enjoy!!
I knew in advance that the; Bride would be beautiful, Gown would be gorgeous, Groom would look handsome, wedding party would be great, Venue would look like a fantasy, the flowers, the cake and the food would be over the top, Guest would all have a great time, and the DJ was going to be fabulous.
I even knew I would do my part OK. So technically speaking I could have written this piece way BEFORE the event!
HOWEVER…….
Then it happened in real time! How could I have been so wrong about everything and get knocked off of my feet by such an incredible extravaganza.
Was the BRIDE beautiful?
NO, she was ABSOLUTELY STUNNINGLY GORGEOUS.
Was the WEDDING PARTY turned out?
Elegant, sophisticated, glamorous, and just the right amount of bling!
What a Stunning group
Was the VENUE a fantasy?
Right out of a Princess Palace movie setting
Were the flowers, cake and food over the top?
The DJ brought the house down. Not only did all the guests get on the floor, people from other events at the venue were joining in on the dance floor.
Wait staff was joining in and even some of the wedding coordinators.
I give you, Mr. & Mrs. David Cherry
Was she that quintessential Princess Bride! Yes, Yes, and Yes!
However there are a few things I’d still like to elaborate on. For instance, the Bride’s gown was made by Missouri, the mother of the Bride. Yes, she designed it then made it. Every seam, stitch and sparkle, hand sewn. This is a woman that won NJ Designer of the Year some years ago. And if you look at this gown, you’ll see WHY she won.
A special feature of the gown, was a picture of Kyra’s deceased grandmother, hand stitched into the lining. It was such a sweet touch.
But the best part of the entire day was to witness first-hand the LOVE, the happiness and joy everyone had for the couple. As a matter of fact total strangers kept dropping by from other celebrations, and they danced, ate and participated like invited guests. And the Bride and Groom embraced every minute of it.
Prior to the wedding, the bride had commented numerous times that her main concern was that everyone had a good time.
I’m positive all of those wishes came true.
WOW!
Yes, it was an awesome wedding! Nes
