I’ve always paid attention to all manner of signs and witnesses that might be trying to send me a message or something.
A few weeks ago, while I was in Barnes n’ Noble, I noticed a magazine with Joel Osteen on the cover. I’ve never been a particular fan, but every once in a while, I watch a video or listen to one of his CD’s. The reason this magazine caught my attention was because of the bold title across the front.
Wait a minute, was he channeling me with my tag line about “BEST Life Now?”
“Just kidding, he’s only been using it for the last 5 or so years, maybe more, but I never knew that until I went to the event.”
A couple of days later my daughter called to ask me if I might be interested in attending a Joel Osteen event in Wash, DC because she had an opportunity to secure some tickets. I almost couldn’t believe it. Of course I said yes, but I was taken back a little about the coincidence.
Once Denise got the tickets she called me again to say that Joel’s mother was a cancer survivor and would be at the event. WOW!
Sometimes I believe in the randomness of life and then things happen to indicate the exact opposite.
Here I was attending a Joel Osteen event and the theme of the day was the tag line for my Blog, and I’ve been using it for almost 2 years now. I realize that term has been used quite a bit in various forms by many people, however this seemed like a sign to me that I should definitely attend.
Well even though I’m not a big fan of large crowd events, we went and it was pretty good. I definitely did enjoy him, actually his whole family. It was very inspirational. His mother is a cancer survivor and she spoke of her journey. She’s in her eighties and she was a young mother when she was originally diagnosed. What a story.
The biggest thing I could relate to was the faith. That deep faith of never letting yourself get negative. I can attest to how it makes such a difference.
It’s tough because you want to cave in and just sit in a corner and cry, but then you have get up and FIGHT! You have to BELIEVE in the best outcome possible.
BEAUTIFUL FAMILY!
he is in it the money not for helping people
Im not huge fan either, but i do i appreciate coincidences and totally believe in looking at the positives in all situations, although some times very hard to do :-). thanks for sharing!
