“GET READY TO PARTY LIKE IT’S 1620”

“For those of you who cannot be with family this Thanksgiving, please resist the urge to brag”

Hello my Daisy List readers,

For every post I write I like to leave some sort of message or comment that helps to uplift my readers.  Hopefully things that will make them look at their lives and tap into how to “LIVE THEIR BEST LIFE NOW.”

Happy Thanksgiving from AMERICA’S HOMETOWN

Yup, I’m back in my old hometown again.

Plymouth, Mass.

Thanksgiving, what’s it all about?

It’s about family, and friends.  It’s about sharing a memorable meal with someone, be it family, friend, or stranger.  It’s about History, the Plymouth Rock, Pilgrims, Salvation Army Donations, soup kitchens for the needy, it’s about volunteering, so OTHERS can have a memorable meal.

It’s about Thankfulness, being grateful, for all the blessings in your life.  It’s about reflecting on all the good and best things that have happened in the year gone by, and all the good and best things that are about to happen in the years ahead.

And then of course it’s about the turkey, stuffing, gravy, footfall, the PARADE, black Friday, memories and the hum of Xmas in the air.

MEMORIES & TRADITIONS

Many of us use Thanksgiving memories as milestones.  The years things were GREAT, and the years things were just not so GREAT.  We remember so many of the Thanksgivings when we were kids.  Or maybe we remember the last Thanksgiving that someone special was with us and won’t be with us this Holiday for whatever reason.

One of my daughter’s favorite Holiday is Thanksgiving, even more than Christmas because it doesn’t seem as stressful.  Some of her fondest memories are about the fun times she had doing the annual PLYMOUTH TURKEY TROT RACE with her cousins.

And of course, Thanksgiving is about just

CELEBRATING our BLESSINGS!

Plymouth always has so much to offer, Parades, concerts, reenactments, tours, special festivities, tons of things for the kids, and of course the,

Mayflower and the Rock.

If you want to create some terrific memories, here are some suggestions for this year and next.  This year, eat, drink, and be Merry, and make sure to create some GREAT MEMORIES and traditions, especially about all things you can be Thankful and Grateful for.

In, 2020 Plymouth Mass will have the biggest Thanksgiving celebration for at least another

100 years and Frommer’s travel said,

“Get ready to party like it’s 1620.

It will be the 400th year commemoration, so

Make your reservations now.

You can’t beat celebrating a THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY on the very grounds at which it all started.  I encourage anyone and everyone to visit and experience it all at least once in their lifetime.  I assure you it will be one of your fondest memories for years to come, so come join us.
